Getting Started

Boxcar is a dedicated rails hosting environment (VPS) that is configured to run your Ruby on Rails application. Boxcar was designed not only as an easy deploy tool, but a tool that minimizes the amount of administration required after deployment.

Once you sign up, you’ll be provided with the keys to a shiny new Boxcar. We’ll send you an email with some helpful links and guidance on deploying your application. Using Boxcar Conductor, our interactive Ruby on Rails plugin, you can get your application rolling in record time.

Boxcar Conductor

Boxcar Conductor is a set of interactive deployment tasks, which automates several of the tasks required to setup and deploy your application to one-to-many Boxcar instance(s). It’s really as simple as a script/plugin install and running a few commands from your local terminal for the initial deployment to configure and deploy your application.
